Brotzu Sitri Congress Presentation With Photos (Updated)

Update:

The full Brotzu presentation has been uploaded to Youtube by the Sitri organization. Coincidentally, and importantly, I’ve been told during this presentation (which is in Italian) Dr. Brotzu mentions that the male results photos were erroneously mislabeled in the pdf slide for the 3 month result and the 6 month result.

This is, then, what the final comparison should look like for the male result. I’ve also included the female result from baseline to 6 months. You may compare them with the original presentation slide found later in this article.

What do you think of these results comparisons?

(Original Article)

As previously mentioned, Dr. Brotzu was scheduled to give his presentation at the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration (Sitri) Spring Congress today. The Congress was open for public attendance today due to significant interest expressed by many locals who wanted to attend, normally the event is only open to doctors. Dr. Brotzu has completed the presentation and public attendees have reported online what was presented in his lecture.

    I can’t see any improvement.
This is another way to stole our money.
I hope Replicel has better results.

Is it just me… who is not seeing any improvement ://

    • Joe on April 16, 2018 at 8:18 am

I agree. If I grow 10 or even 100 new hairs I will still be the bald guy… 🙂 .

  3. Follicle Thought on April 14, 2018 at 3:11 pm

Going to give my quick take on this.

First off, I did expect a more compelling result to be presented. This does not mean that more impressive results do not exist, but presentation of data is everything. Ultimately, make your own conclusions.

Secondly, I think that’s a pretty good result for the woman.

And that’s all I’ve got to say for now. As always, please keep comments respectful.

Where there any other treatments released?
When will the Brotzu lotion be available?

    • Follicle Thought on April 14, 2018 at 3:53 pm

There is no word of a release other than hearsay mentioned in recent posts. When that info becomes more clear it will be made clear in an article.

  5. dario on April 14, 2018 at 3:57 pm

On Bellicapelli report that during the congress in the hall there was skepticism.
Brotzu repeated that he is not a dermatologist and that therefore he does not have the appropriate skills to answer technical questions.

  6. ebt on April 14, 2018 at 4:34 pm

baseline and 6 months looks about the same. I see nothing there.

  7. DERMOT MAGEE on April 14, 2018 at 8:15 pm

If I thought I had a cure or treatment to potentially end baldness I would make sure the photos I released were top notch to leave no doubt in anyone’s mind as to efficacy I don’t really see that here

  8. Zesuss on April 14, 2018 at 9:27 pm

Based on the results that I am seeing it might be one of the rogain thing. It might work well for some while for others it might be a white wash. If it comes out for sure will give it a shot for 6 months .
As the admin said , was hoping for more compelling results. Based in my experience a product is dud when they keep it so hush hush.
Hopefully there are better results but my expectation is low. Back to considering an fue ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

  9. Sheila on April 14, 2018 at 9:36 pm

Let us know when we can purchase & how… bless you for the work you do!

    • Follicle Thought on April 14, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Thank you very much Sheila. Of course, when purchasing becomes available I will pass that info along to everyone.

  10. Hope on April 14, 2018 at 9:47 pm

I’m so impressed with the woman’s result..wow I can’t wait for this to be released. It does seem to be similar to minoxidil or maybe better. The man’s result showed some improvement too but not as significant as the female IMO. Thank you for sharing..would love to know when this is being released to market. Yay Brotzu!

  11. Carl on April 14, 2018 at 10:06 pm

The photos of the male are worse then baseline .Good results for the female .That is why I have a great concern about the company making a lotion for male and another for female. It doe not make sense ,in the past I used products for hair for thinning and the one that worked best was foltene form around 1986 and it was sold at mall and it worked great then they changed the formula and have one for male and one for female and it just makes hair in male worse off .seems very strange to me.

  12. Michael on April 14, 2018 at 11:31 pm

What’s with all the complaining? He said age is a determining factor in the efficacy of the product. The guy has grey hair so he is obviously over 30 which means he may not get the same results as some one younger. Also everyone is different and will have a different response to each kind of treatment. Propecia ruined a year of my life when I was on it and I saw no improvement in hair growth or density but Segal’s solution, nizoral, the tesla brush and derma stamping has not only seemingly halted my hair loss but has also grown some back along the hairline and the middle part. I for one will still give it a shot because I think it is better to take a chance and hope for the best than wallow in a defeatest mind set. I would rather just get it over with and shave my head than live in that kind of personal hell.

  13. Lee on April 15, 2018 at 7:58 am

I think there is an improvement in the 6 month from baseline in men, although not as much as the female.

I have read somewhere that the lotion should be used for 18 months, was this heresay? Why are there no pictures after 6 months?

The other point to remember is this product may not be everything that people had hoped it would be in terms of regrowth, but if it stops or significantly reduces hair loss with minimal side effects then it will still help a lot of people who are not so far gone surely?

  14. Sam on April 15, 2018 at 8:07 am

    It is angle tick.

  15. Alonso on April 15, 2018 at 8:13 am

Although the male picture provided in the report may not be quite what alot of us expected, i still remain fairly hopeful!
For a start, the male photographed is an older gentleman and it has already been posted elsewhere that the Brotzu Lotion will likely be alot more effective in those under 30 years of age. There is not a great deal of progress in the picture however after looking closely there is a subtle difference, which might mean the world to that guy.
Also, the graph provided in the report of the patient satisfaction seems relatively high in all areas. The only area lacking is the fragrance category. I assume thats not particularly a deal breaker for most though! This means that mostly all participants in the Brotzu trial were satisfied with the results.
I think it would be completely wrong to assume this is a cure, but i do remain hopeful that the Brotzu Lotion could indeed be the most effective ‘prevention’ when/if it comes to market.
If sustained use is proven not to have any side effects, wouldn’t it be a great accomplisment if the youth of today could use this as a protection from potential balding, much like we all brush our teeth twice a day to protect them from damage. Just a thought. Stay hopeful, the answer is close!

  16. Follicle Thought on April 15, 2018 at 11:16 am

I’m happy with the well-rounded comments and a good showing of optimism! It’s always nice to read.

    Thank you all for commenting.

  17. Carter Hall on April 15, 2018 at 1:29 pm

If the older gentleman is atypical, why not present photographic evidence from a younger, typical gentleman? I’m not a doctor or a spin man but if people are sticking to that logic it seems obvious the best picture that emphasizes growth must be displayed. And I believe that’s what we got.

The female patient was well enough, in fact, she probably had some of the best results. And he decided to use those photos.

I’m not being negative there’s just some things that aren’t logically consistent if we assume the male pictures aren’t the best pictures.

Still, no skin off my bones, I would’ve waited 6-12 months to see the effects on other consumers.

  18. dmdm on April 15, 2018 at 5:09 pm

studying these photos it looks like there is some regrowth there indeed but it would have been better to have shown something more dramatic but maybe there isnt anything dramatic to show a small improvement may very well feel good to these people and i know any growth gives great hope to me im waiting over 30 years but it is hopeful stay positive

  19. Michael on April 15, 2018 at 10:32 pm

I don’t see any photohraphic trickery or “angle tricks”

Unlike many other “after” pics, the lighting is consistent.

There is def some regrowth. And thst would be on a bald or at least SEVERELY thinned area of scalp on a man who likely had been suffering significant hair loss for some time.

I would like to see the results regarding us more recent diffuse thinners.

I would also like to note the 6 month period is interesting as even with FIN/MIN, full results don’t appear until AT LEAST a year.

So this may be a great stopgap for those of us not looking to use Fin or have inflamation due to Min.

At least until some of the potential cellular therapies come along.

  20. Michael on April 15, 2018 at 10:42 pm

I just read on another sirlte that the 3 month and 6 month pictures were accidentally swapped

  21. William on April 16, 2018 at 2:25 am

Quite true Re: Placement of hair.

  22. Robert on April 16, 2018 at 8:52 am

there was a error the 3 month is the 6 month, the lady that made this presentatin make a mistake. So consider de 3 month result as 6 month result. I get this info from the belicapeli tread. Sorry for my english 😉

    • Follicle Thought on April 16, 2018 at 3:02 pm

Thank you and Michael for sharing.

    Hello,
on the Italian forum Bellicapelli sometimes writes the son of Brotzu with the account Beps86.

    Yesterday he posted this message:

Statistics are used in medical congresses, photos are used in advertising.

    Release date ????

    • Carl on April 17, 2018 at 10:48 pm

They have not set date yet.

  25. Mark on June 4, 2018 at 6:44 pm

Photos are discouraging. I have seen these types of photos for decades. Nothing is by accident here. Look for a) change of head angle between pictures b) change of lighting c) Change of hair styling d) change in zoom.

If there are results they are not being shown here with any definitive clarity. Also, 6 months is a very short window to see anything in terms of cosmetic significance.

  26. Follicle Thought on June 5, 2018 at 9:35 am

To Seba: So there is no confusion, you were not reproached for not being positive. Hope this is understood.
Ps. Are you aware of SMP for scar?

    • Seba on June 6, 2018 at 6:11 am

Ohh I noticed. Micropigmentation. I already considered that. But it is no possible because my scar is very big. The clinic that did the transplant to me are butchers.
