Hair Cure April 2018: Brotzu Check-In

The Brotzu lotion may be getting an important update this week. It has been confirmed that Dr. Brotzu will be presenting at the Spring Congress of the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration on April 14, 2018 in Naples, Italy. The topic of Dr. Brotzu’s presentation will be, of course, his esoteric hair growth lotion. This brings up an important question: What does this mean for the commercial release of the lotion?

Piecing it All Together

The events page of the the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration (Sitri) website has been updated to show Dr. Giovanni Brotzu as one of the guest speakers. His lecture is titled “Liposomal solution containing DGLA, Equol and Carnitine for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia.”

A Gentleman and A Scholar

There is also a well put together write-up on Reddit detailing all of the latest news leaks and hearsay about the Brotzu lotion. Here is some information and claims that seem justifiable from that post:

  • Dr. Brotzu continues to assert that the lotion can reverse the previous 5 years of one’s hair loss (this hearsay has been floating around Italian hair forums and the internet since the Brotzu lotion was first announced, take it as you like it. If true, it appears to be an estimate of “ideal” results observed from the lotion, and also demonstrates a “ceiling” of efficacy potential).
  • The Sitri Spring Congress will be open to the public on Saturday April 14th due to many inquiries about the Brotzu presentation, however members of the public will not be allowed to ask questions at the lecture.
  • The lotion may be released by Fidia Pharma during Summer 2018.

Brotzu Quotables

Many of you may have also noticed in the Updates section recent remarks made by Dr. Brotzu to the Italian media. In an Italian article published February 15, 2018 Brotzu had this to say about the famed lotion (translated):

“The road to the marketing of the product has not yet been completed….we are continuing to work to stabilize the preparation and make it suitable to public distribution.”

“I have the email clogged by those who ask me news about the lotion and the phone does not stop ringing, but there is no mystery  we are at the end and soon we will understand if the treatment will have the reliability requirements to enter business.”

“The lotion works (it) has been tested on sixty volunteers and has confirmed its effectiveness.”

Saturday and Beyond

Check back to this article next week for updates from Dr. Brotzu’s presentation at the Sitri event. It would seem, the fact that Brotzu is presenting at a major hair Congress would mean good things for his product’s development.

know there are many readers of Follicle Thought from Italy, so I am asking anyone who attends the Congress in Naples to share info with us about what was presented. Please use the comments section below or get in touch with me through the Contact page. Thanks!

Update:

New article has been posted containing Brotzu’s pdf presentation from the Congress.

He says it can reverse 5 years of haor loss!?

    • Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 1:44 pm

This is hearsay currently, but yes this has been repeated several times over the past 2 years. I would imagine if the statement is true, it may mean that the product is capable of reversing 5 years of hair loss, but may not happen to all users.

  2. Michael on April 9, 2018 at 1:45 pm

Hopefully this doesn’t end up being a big disappointment like last year with that lotion from Turkey called Reboost.

    • Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 1:46 pm

Definitely true, however this time there is an established pharmaceutical company – Fidia Pharma – involed. Typically, they don’t get involved unless things are tested to work efficiently on a large number of people.

Has Dr. G. Brotzu tried his cream as his hair is looking a bit thin…

  5. Abdulaziz on April 9, 2018 at 3:20 pm

    Hi admin,

What do u mean by reverse 5 years? And is it going to be for every body or for young guys?

I mean who is above 35 years old

    • Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 4:06 pm

The purported claim is that the cream can reverse the effects of a person’s last 5 years of androgenic alopecia.

  6. Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 5:29 pm

Everyone may want to take a deep breath now. The Brotzu lotion is a thing, and we’re going to continue reporting its developments. If it doesn’t tickle your fancy, that’s “OK”, as they say.

  7. Matt on April 9, 2018 at 6:27 pm

I think that the Brotzu lotion will work well for diffuse hair loss. Really hope we get a release date provided and pictures at the conference. Too much speculation!

    • Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 6:38 pm

I expect pictures of at least one case study. A release date would be ideal, but I would be very surprised if that happens at this hair society congress.

    • Michael on April 9, 2018 at 8:22 pm

Honestly I’d be hapoy if it just brought be back a few months. 3 years alone would be a miracle.

Then I could top off with Replicel

    • Michael on April 9, 2018 at 8:24 pm

I would hope so as I, myself, am a diffuse thinner and there havent been many prospects for us thusfar

  8. Sheila on April 9, 2018 at 9:25 pm

Is this something. You’ve tried yet?

    • Follicle Thought on April 9, 2018 at 10:00 pm

Nope. I would like to try it the product, though.

  9. Cris on April 10, 2018 at 6:23 am

Well, the thing is, can the brotzu lotion improve the quality/density of the existing hair and bring back a bunch of a miniaturized hair? Cause to be honest, speak about reverse 5 years of hairloss sounds scam… why 5 years? who payed attention on it? who count the hairloss on the 5 years? ….

    • Follicle Thought on April 10, 2018 at 10:08 am

I understand everyone’s apprehension about this topic, to a degree.

Doesn’t it seem logical that the Dr is giving a rough estimate of the types of results he’s seen from the lotion over the past few years? Like, to say “it can reverse your last several years of hair loss, but will not indefinitely keep regrowing your hair as long as you keep using the cream.” We see the same kind of potential with drugs like fin and minox. Why is everyone getting caught up on the 5 yrs thing? Obviously it’s not as critically literal as people are making it out to be.

      • Markie on April 10, 2018 at 10:39 am

AGREED! – IT doesn’t make sense and is sounding more like a disclaimer than anything else.

Release the cream and lets get real people using it and to report their results…. if any.

        • Follicle Thought on April 10, 2018 at 10:51 am

          I appreciate ya, Markie

  10. DailyThoughts on April 10, 2018 at 11:10 am

An interesting experiment would be to use Brotzu’s lotion for something like 12 or 18 months before going for the 3 HCell PRP injections in South Korea which claim that their treatment completely stops hairloss and also regrow a certain amount of hair. They mailed me that even 4 years after the injections, no hairloss had been witnessed. Both treatment seem to go well together since HCell renews a fertile soil by creating new capillaries in the scalp when Brotzu’s lotion also focuses on blood circulation and nutrients supply.

The idea would be to first regrow/regenerate the miniaturized follicles/velus with Brotzu’s lotion, then stop the hairloss completely with HCell and if there’s still some bald spot, do some implants, go for Replicel / Follica or other promising products.

What do you guys think ?

      Thanks for sharing Dario 🙂

  15. Hope on April 14, 2018 at 8:48 pm

Wow thanks for sharing. I think the female results are impressive. Any idea when this is goinyto hit the market?

  16. Rahul Suresh dingankar on May 6, 2018 at 4:00 pm

When will it be ready for launch? and how much will it cost? Any guess?

    • Follicle Thought on May 6, 2018 at 8:12 pm

I guess in Summer/Fall 2018. However much it will cost it will be affordable to those who are eagerly seeking hair growth solutions.

      • Markie on May 7, 2018 at 8:29 am

In other words it could cost tens, hundreds or thousands per bottle/tube…

If it really is as good as he says, why not give away a 100 or 1000 bottles/tubes and that would be more effective than any marketing or ad campaign…..

  17. Kira on June 28, 2018 at 10:03 pm

At this stage, is there any change that they will abort this Brotzu lotion project ?

  18. Kira on June 28, 2018 at 10:17 pm

“I have the email clogged by those who ask me news about the lotion and the phone does not stop ringing, but there is no mystery we are at the end and soon we will understand if the treatment will have the reliability requirements to enter business.” —> “soon” = 1 year or 10 years ? How can a “cosmetic” product take so long to be released ? Really weird

    • Follicle Thought on June 29, 2018 at 11:15 am

For a company to put their reputation on the line, they have to be sure the product works well and holds a good shelf life, this can take 2-4 years I’d say to be sure.

  19. Kira on June 28, 2018 at 10:19 pm

May I know how “big” is this Fidia Pharma ? Or is it just a small scam group of company ? Many thanks.

    • Follicle Thought on June 29, 2018 at 11:15 am

You could do some research through them on internet search, however Fidia is a well established, multi-national pharmaceutical company.

  20. Gp on August 7, 2018 at 3:20 am

Hello. Has anyone gotten any more news about the progress of the lotion from anywhere since the last update?

I am getting very desperate here since I am at the point where I don’t want to loose more hair because if I do, I will have to rethink my haircut or just shave my head which I really don’t want to do.

Poison like Minoxidil and Finasteride are not an option for me since I don’t want to ruin my health.

  21. jandreu41 on April 16, 2019 at 10:24 am

Hi everyone, I purchased Dr. Brotzu’s lotion (Trinov for Women) directly from Italy from Fidia Pharmaceuticals. It was pricey, but I wanted to see for myself as I have exhausted all other options (believe me I have tried everything on the market). I have tried all kinds of Shampoos, Conditioners, light therapies, PRP treatments, Minoxidil (too irritating for me), and hair vitamins. I purchased the lotion at the beginning of March, it is now April so I have been using it for 6 weeks now. I use it twice per day morning and night. I wish i had pictures to show you, but I was so skeptical and i did believe this, like many others, would work on me. Again, I have been using it for only 6 weeks and only use it on the sides and a little on the top consistently every day. This stuff DOES WORK. I have baby hairs growing everywhere. The sides have filled almost completely. I believe in one more month, they will be COMPLETELY filled in. I am shock to see baby hairs, new growth all over my sides and at the temple in only 6 weeks! I keep looking at the mirror because I can’t believe it. No irritation for me with this lotion either. I SEE the results. IT WORKS. I do not work for Fidia, I was not paid to promote this, I purchased this directly from Fidia and had it shipped directly to my work place with the help of a co-worker who speaks Italian because I did not understand the instructions. The only thing i wish is that it weren’t so expensive. I am almost out of it and need to reorder more. With these results in such short period of time, I WILL BE ORDERING MORE! Just wanted to put this out there. I dont know if it will work for you, but it is working for me!
