It’s Official: Trinov Is Coming In 2018

Updated

After a long wait we finally have the answer. The “Brotzu Lotion” aka Trinov is going to be released by Fidia Pharma this year.

The press release shown above was posted on Fidia’s official website today only in the Italian version. The key points from the announcement are as follows:

  • Production on Trinov has begun and will be available for purchase within the next few months
  • Trinov will be developed for men and women
  • The product has completed all of Fidia’s tests for safety and efficacy
  • The official release date will be in 2018 and is to be announced in the next several weeks

We haven’t felt this feeling in a while, huh?

Commenter “hlscc” has also shared this link to purchase Trinov from Efarma.com and in the products FAQ which is down the page, a representative from Efarma states that the product will be available for purchase beginning in December 2018; there is also a question about pre-ordering which the representative states is an available option by emailing Efarma. It seems almost certain that anyone around the world can order from this website. I know there will be more questions to come, let’s take it as the answers are given. 🙂

Update:

Fidia has shared the press release in English via their website now. They also add one important detail in the new English version: “we envisage the product will be first released in Italy by the end of 2018, other international markets will follow next.”

It is news to me for Fidia to be talking about getting Trinov into other countries for sales and distribution. At this point we don’t know if they are planning to stay in and around Europe, or if they have plans to get the product into the US as soon as possible. One would think they have certainly considered the idea and would pursue this path depending on the regulatory options available.

this is by far the greatest news in 20 or so years …. good things come to those who wait… 🙂

    • Keith on September 26, 2018 at 11:15 am

Super cool, emailed efarma to see about pre order and shipping. The person writing me on email, speaks perfect info. I’ll post any info I receive.

    • Keith on September 26, 2018 at 11:28 am

They replied yes we can pre order, it will be shipping in Dec of this year and yes they will ship to the USA.
Here is the specific email address you can ask them questions:
      ordini@efarma.com

    • John on September 26, 2018 at 4:15 pm

Serious question – why do you think this? The photos I have seen do not show great effectiveness. I would like to hear why you are optimistic on the product

      • eric on September 27, 2018 at 4:49 am

If there is no side effects, even if it maintains and halts current loss, for most of us early NW thats a HUGE WIN!

        • MRKA on September 29, 2018 at 3:07 am

Indeed it is. Finally I can stop using Dutasteride. For the final solution we probably have to wait for Sisheido or Riken.

  2. Dede on September 25, 2018 at 9:03 pm

    Finally!! Very excited!!

    • Michael Kope on September 25, 2018 at 9:21 pm

Just hope it works and doesn’t turn out to be another reboost scam, very excited too

We’re all hoping it turns out the best ?

  3. James Howard on September 25, 2018 at 9:25 pm

Will I be able to order this product on an English available website? I would preorder now if I could.

  7. Sanya on September 26, 2018 at 3:49 am

Do you know if this lotion helps for men regrowing his hair, who is suffering in androgenic alopecia and lost all of his hair?

    • Follicle Thought on September 26, 2018 at 4:11 am

I have not heard that this lotion would regrow hair on a totally bald scalp.

      • Gda on September 26, 2018 at 9:38 am

What about the photo of the little girl with no hair ? This was the brotzu lotion right ?

She had no hair on face or head and the after picture shows hair.)

    Hi Joseph,

It would be awesome if you would book an interview with them, I think you have quite high chances, given your world-renown blog.

Can you please try to do it? I think you are the best person for it.

Thank you for everything you do.

Hi great news i have seen it will be available in dec 2018 and its a bit expensive though for 30ml bottle £71 eu with discount i wonder how many mls you need to use or drops if it lasted say 3 months then it would not be expensive but i will still try it as we have been waiting so long.

  14. Zach on September 26, 2018 at 8:06 am

Am i missing some information? I thought we all realized in April that the brotzu lotion was a dud? Has there been more information since showing some benefit rather than those photos they released in April?

    Thanks

  15. Simon on September 26, 2018 at 8:58 am

Did somebody have a review of the solution?
Whats the mechanism behind this one?
Is it scam or real help for us?

Can somebody answer me this questions?

Can u translate epharma from Italian to English – less ur fluent in Italian you won’t have a clue as to what is being offered let alone discussed

    • Follicle Thought on September 26, 2018 at 2:04 pm

I recommend using a web browser which translates the languages. I believe Google Chrome offers this automatically and Firefox offers a translation extension.

    • Rajan menon on September 27, 2018 at 6:45 am

      Italian translated to English

The production and industrialization phase has begun, which in a few months will make available an important novelty, developed by Fidia pharmaceuticals, for those suffering from hair loss. The company, in fact, has completed all the tests on the efficacy and tolerability of the product, completing an intense research and experimentation program aimed at ensuring an effective and safe response to men and women suffering from this disease and from time await the commercialization of the solution.
Trinov, this is the name chosen by Fidia pharmaceuticals for the product, draws on the discoveries of prof. Brotzu and its patent for baldness treatment. The long process of study and experimentation has in fact allowed us to pass all the necessary tests and verifications, reflecting the company’s commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards and guaranteeing the utmost excellence in dealing with the pathology.
The official date of marketing of the product (by the end of the year) will be announced in the coming weeks.

  22. Alan J on September 27, 2018 at 8:20 am

Obviously this is good news. But am a little concerned that it is described as 30 ml, and a lotion. That is very small amount is it not? And for those of us with very thin hair who need wide coverage, applying a lotion is not ideal. Does anyone know whether it is possible to mix a lotion with shampoo to get effective coverage?

    • Follicle Thought on September 27, 2018 at 3:01 pm

Thanks for the comment. It has been called a “lotion” on the internet, this does not mean the product is an actual cream based suspension. It could very well be a liquid serum type product. Thanks again

      • Yoda on September 27, 2018 at 5:10 pm

I’m neither pro or con on this, will wait for the evidence.
I also thought 30 ml seemed like a small amount with a steep price. However this is in relationship to Minoxidil in 60 ML bottles. Minox is twice a day 1 ml application, I don;t think we have an official protocol for Trinov, # of applications per day nor how much. If this actually has meaningful results, I’ll pay the price! 🙂

  23. Follicle Thought on September 27, 2018 at 5:59 pm

It’s important to note that there will undoubtedly be hundreds, if not thousands of people trying Trinov when it is released.

The internet will know within about 4 months time how well this product fairs. I recommend to those who aren’t fully comfortable giving it a try, to wait and see. For me personally, I will give it a go immediately because I don’t mind investing in the chance.

    • Ry on September 27, 2018 at 6:49 pm

Same for me. I’ll give it a go the same way I gave a (inconclusive) shot to Reboost. Would be nice though to have some pictures from epharma when the product comes out and perhaps some data if they have any to spare. But pics are most important.

      • Follicle Thought on September 27, 2018 at 8:17 pm

Nice contribution Ry. I am expecting Fidia pharma to share some results before the product launches, especially since they are an established pharma company. I imagine that some proper marketing will be done through the TrinovCapelli.com website as well. When that gets online I will make note of it to all.

  24. Follicleguy on September 27, 2018 at 7:29 pm

Since this being sold a cosmetic without prescription I am going to assume it won’t be any better than neogenic, or all those other products. If it works as effective as minox I will be shocked avd will buy a bottle lol. Fingers crossed it works well and we finally get a breakthrough for once. We deserve it! It’s 2019 almost avd we still have old stone age treatments that lose effectiveness.

  25. Daryll Petrowski on September 27, 2018 at 9:44 pm

Great to see all you guys are hanging in there with degrees of optimisom,
i myself i am not convinced,as the the before and after photos dont really
marvel the effects of the product, but what else have we to date folks!! wait and see, all the best to all who purchase it,im hoping for some new hair on my head, tired of a sun burn noggin…lol

  26. Hope on September 27, 2018 at 9:48 pm

Finally something has reached fruition and is coming to market!
If this works as well as minoxidil or maintains that would be amazing ?fingers crossed. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you for this website, nothing but gratitude.

    • Mehdi on September 28, 2018 at 7:21 am

      Hi
      then Minoxidil was available !!
      what should we get this?
      what is it its different?

  27. Michael on September 28, 2018 at 2:37 am

If I were to start this would I be able to stop Minoxidil?

  28. Tom on September 28, 2018 at 6:04 am

Today the press release was published in English language.

FIDIA’S HAIR LOSS REMEDY: AN UPDATE FROM THE COMPANY
    Company announcement
Further to previous communications, regarding the development of a hair loss remedy (aka “Brotzu lotion”) initiated several months ago, we are pleased to announce the completion of the efficacy and tolerability study, following an intensive research program.

The study was conducted productively and efficiently, to offer all patients who are affected by the problem – men and women equally – a real treatment option, effective, safe and stable.

We have successfully moved into a full-scale production, thus ensuring a smooth path to the commercial product development. The brand name chosen for Fidia’s hair loss remedy is TRINOV. An exact launch date will be defined in the next few weeks, we envisage the product will be first released in Italy by the end of 2018, other international markets will follow next.

Article updated to share Fidia’s plans to expand Trinov into other countries.

  30. Piotr on September 28, 2018 at 4:35 pm

    Hi evryone
I’am fluent in Italian. I don’t want to disappoint you but after the congress in april and the data shared by professor Brotzu, i am a little bit sceptic of the efectivness of the lotion. To be honest It seams not to be the miracle lotion that can save you from being bald, or reghrow you hair back. But this is probabli my impression. I hope. Any way i think is worth to try.

    • Follicle Thought on September 28, 2018 at 6:02 pm

I’m hoping people aren’t expecting a chia pet regrowth from Trinov.

In my personal opinion, if it can give a result comparable to a good minoxidil response and be something other than minoxidil it’s a big win in my opinion and the first we’ve had in 30 years.

  31. cano on September 28, 2018 at 7:14 pm

Hit up replicel for us @folliclethought we need an update from them!

did you take any message from Lee buckler?

        • Follicle Thought on September 28, 2018 at 10:43 pm

No, Lee has nothing to say until Shiseido makes an announcement.

          • repli on September 28, 2018 at 11:37 pm

what is mean “Will share a Replicel update soon.” how to know it?

            • Follicle Thought on September 28, 2018 at 11:57 pm

              I’ll share the update soon.

            • DAVID on September 29, 2018 at 5:33 am

The only downfall for many is the cost for a 30ml bottle 71eu and 25eu for post to uk that is way too expensive if it as i said before lasts say two or three months it would not be too bad but if that is monthly cost then no way im going to buy it.

            • Follicle Thought on September 29, 2018 at 3:01 pm

I hear you, however if it works I think it’s affordable to anyone with hairloss. It seems that we’re in a grateful position towards Fidia that the product even exists.

  32. repli on September 28, 2018 at 11:51 pm

there was new information about rch 01 in hairlosstalk
    this writing from hairlosstalk thread.
could you get more information about this?

“In the event to be held in Japan in October, I got information from Shiseido that there is an announcement on RCH 01.

However, this announcement does not seem to be about the time of implementation.”

  33. DAVID on September 29, 2018 at 5:35 am

Does anyone know how its got to be used and how much to apply is it greasy.

    • Follicle Thought on September 29, 2018 at 3:00 pm

David, I don’t think anyone will know that until the product is released.

  34. Link on September 30, 2018 at 3:26 am

David, I remember it being stated that two weekly applications of the lotion will be sufficient for maintenance of the hair and the regrowth. If so, the product may only be expensive during the first months if we want to apply it daily in order to gain regrowth.

    • DAVID on October 1, 2018 at 4:26 am

Many thanks for use daily and then when regrowth achived you can use a couple of times a week so that would be good news as said we do not know exact details yet.

    • Piotr on October 1, 2018 at 7:39 am

In the data shared by professor Brotzu on April, the trial has been done using 1ml of lotion once a day in the example shared, I presume this will be the quantity syggested to get the optimal results. That means 1 bottle of lotion should be enghaf for 1 month.

  35. hairlloss on September 30, 2018 at 5:51 am

Dear admin. I am very excited about the news about replicel. May I ask if you will post this this week?

      I hope to

  36. Follicle Thought on September 30, 2018 at 5:21 pm

Chris, I’d say almost all minoxidil-azelaic acid products are going to give you similar results in an expected range. I also noticed some reviews on Amazon. This discussion is kindly intended for the Trinov product.

The Medipost product, see recent article.

  39. Chris on October 2, 2018 at 7:35 am

Is anyone who is currently applying minoxidil willing to share ideas on how they are planning to switch over to Trinov?

My idea would be to only use Minoxidil once a day once I start applying Trinov. And after 3 months only every second day. And depending on how the results will be, I hopefully will stop using Minoxidil entirely after another 3 months.

    What do you guys think?

    • Follicle Thought on October 2, 2018 at 2:14 pm

Good topic Chris, thanks for asking.

    • nort on October 2, 2018 at 2:20 pm

i dont think mixing is such a good idea,

either use one or the other and Minoxidil is the same crap that has been around for all these years and produced bad results with no efficacy! thats the difference between trinov and minoxidil and mixing it will just produce skewed results..

  40. Ry on October 3, 2018 at 5:31 pm

On my behalf, I do not use Minoxidyl because of the side effects.
However, I do intend to try use Trinov + CM + Replicel together by Septembre 2019 (assuming all will be out by then).

I’m pretty sure such a move would preserve any further hairloss and strenghen the existing. Unsure as to whether there will be regrowth. But at least if I have it stabilized, I can start strategizing for the future with FUE and stuff…

If however, I do get a 30% regrowth, then this would be a very very good outcome.

    • Follicle Thought on October 3, 2018 at 7:09 pm

Trinov + CM3 + Replicel sounds like a great combo. Thumbs up.

      • Mehdi on October 4, 2018 at 3:21 am

        Replicel is different treat
        it is injection method
it should free you of using other methods as you see in its movie site new hair follicle will grow!!!

        • Follicle Thought on October 4, 2018 at 11:42 am

That is an informative movie of what they hope to accomplish, Mehdi. No one (except Shiseido) really knows how well RCH-01 works at this point. It’s usually best to remain grounded when waiting for results from a hair growth company.

  41. Kira on October 4, 2018 at 12:18 am

@admin, I found this clinical trial entry from medipost. Is it the CM3 or another drug from them ? Thanks

    • Follicle Thought on October 4, 2018 at 2:07 am

Thanks for sharing, yes that is CM3.

      • Kira on October 4, 2018 at 2:22 am

@admin: a bit confused here. According to you, they are gonna release it in Q1 2019 in Korea as a cosmetic, then what is this trial for, dont tell me that in the US, cosmetic also need FDA approval ? Many thanks

  42. Dave on October 7, 2018 at 2:53 am

If this were an ongoing treatment would the goal be to use this to stop hair loss (hopefully) until Replicel or something else came along that is more effective at regrowing hair? Thanks.

    • Follicle Thought on October 7, 2018 at 5:40 pm

That’s certainly an option, more of a personal choice. Some may want to continue using it and combine it with other treatments depending on how well it works. We will see.

  45. Zuvo on October 17, 2018 at 8:13 am

No need to wait anymore. We can buy it from here legit now:

(Edited: Link removed due to unverified credibility)

    • Michael on October 17, 2018 at 6:48 pm

How do we know if that’s the exact same formula as Brotzu Lotion, plus it also says for research purpose only not for human use in any form, I’d be afraid to put it on my head. I’ll wait another couple months and have my cousin that lives there pick it up from one of the pharmacy’s and ship it here. Good luck

      • Zuvo on October 18, 2018 at 8:17 am

Ask them? It is the same ingredients and concentrations as the brotzu patent.

        • Follicle Thought on October 18, 2018 at 4:51 pm

I can’t imagine a company with a product for sale giving any other response than “of course our product works”, however I do appreciate you sharing the link, I understand your intent. For now, I’ve decided not to share it on Follicle Thought.

  46. Michael on October 29, 2018 at 11:16 am

Should we assume that this product will be sold here in the states since FDA approval is not needed and It’s considered a cosmetic, right or wrong?

    • Follicle Thought on October 29, 2018 at 3:10 pm

It’s classified as a cosmetic in Italy, however that doesn’t necessarily mean it is classified as a cosmetic in US. We’ll find out soon enough.

  47. JenG on October 30, 2018 at 3:07 am

How fast can we expect Brotzu to be launched?

Also any latest update on replicel hair regeneration

    • Chris on October 30, 2018 at 12:22 pm

      December in Italy. No.

  48. Mehdi on October 31, 2018 at 10:49 am

    Hi
is it something like Minoxidil (only help vascular and help to thicken existing hairs) or help Miniaturized and disappeared follicle (i mean to some extent for example only 10%) to grow again?

    • Follicle Thought on November 1, 2018 at 12:19 am

We’ll really only know once the product has been on market for about 6 months.

      • Jack on November 30, 2018 at 8:33 pm

Shipping from efarma is pretty expensive so would be worth organising a group buy to Australia for everyone interested. I think it’s 44 euros to ship to Oz- almost as much as the product.

  49. Bart Bollen on November 6, 2018 at 1:11 pm

Do you know if they will post Brotzu lotion to Australia if I order ?

    • Follicle Thought on November 6, 2018 at 3:42 pm

It would be worthwhile to contact them to ask.

I received 1 hour ago an email about my order for Trinov being prepared (I preordered it to be shipped to Italy).
For this reason I’d expect the shipping is tomorrow and the rumoured date of December 3rd, therefore, to be correct.

I purchased it today but accidentally ordered the girl version. Now I’m trying to get this fixed as its too expensive a process to get the wrong product.

I wonder how the girl version is different..

It is based on how much S-equol is in the products, the male version has more.

Hi i see on efarma site the trinov for men is not available so i presume they may have sold out or have issues with supply.

I emailed the Trinov web site and they responded and said all italian pharmacies have stock and if they are sold out they can be restocked in just days. Therefore not sure why efarma have no stock available. Hopefully this is just a teething issue and will availible asap.

Yes, I believe in a short amount of time the ordering process for Trinov will likely clear up and become smoother for all international patients looking to purchase.

I contacted customer service and they said it was not available to sell until Dec. 15th.
