Medipost Update: Celino Inc.

I’ve received an update regarding the anticipated NGF-574H stem-cell derived cosmetic for hair growth which was originally developed by Medipost.

According to Jay Lee, CEO of Celino Inc., Medipost has spun off its cosmetics business including the products NGF-574H and NGF-37 (for skin) into a new company called Celino Inc. Last year, it was reported that Medipost’s (now Celino’s) NGF-574H for hair growth would be launching in Q1 2019. Apparently, Celino Inc. has experienced a technical difficulty issue regarding the mass production of the hair growth product’s active ingredient which caused a delay in the launch of the product in Korea.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is logo-Celino.png

That manufacturing issue has now been fully resolved and the NGF-574H product is slated to launch in Korea no later than July 2019, first in clinics and hospitals. It will then later be made available to the general population in Korea, according to Jay Lee of Celino. We can imagine that just like Trinov, the product will be available to consumers around the world through mail order once it is first available to the general public in Korea.

Do you know how well this product works? Is it better than rogaine?

    • Jay Lee on March 31, 2019 at 8:14 pm

Hi Lynn. A technical presentation was once posted in this site at https://folliclethought.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/NGF-574H-introduction-redacted.pdf, and you may find the comparison against Rogaine in hair density improvement. Please be noted that the comparison is not head to head in the same study but we refer the literature published for Rogaine.

Any update Jay? The world is waiting for a successful alternative without the side effects of minox and fin. Hope to hear an announcement soon!

    • Zach on April 1, 2019 at 1:58 am

I believe its meant to be up to 3x better than minoxidil. Great news admin, thanks for the update, been waiting for this one!

      • Bart on July 23, 2019 at 5:13 am

Yeah just like Trinov was supposed to be lol

    • Bill Russo on April 1, 2019 at 6:01 am

The papers said it was AT LEAST as effective as Minoxidil IIRC.

  2. Ahmed bekeer on March 31, 2019 at 5:51 pm

Will the FDA approve the product or only in Korea?

  3. Michael on March 31, 2019 at 8:30 pm

I’m having some pretty good results with Trinov myself but might check this out later on if Trinov stops working due to age or something.

    • Pagla_Sarfraz (@proudlymoas) on April 10, 2019 at 3:18 pm

Can you please more info about your success story with trinov? when did you start? how often and how do use it? how effective has it been? reduction in hair loss? or regrowth? There are not many people on other forums that have had any success of any sort.

  4. Jay Lee on March 31, 2019 at 9:57 pm

Thanks for the inquiry. A technical presentation of the new ingredient was once introduced at this blog at https://folliclethought.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/NGF-574H-introduction-redacted.pdf. You may find a comparison in hair density improvement against Rogain. Please be noted though the comparison was not made head to heard. We cited Rogain data from the publication.

  9. Helga on April 2, 2019 at 4:03 am

    @Jay Lee

Can you give us any updates on the estimated price of the product (or maybe a rough price-range)?
Also, what’s does your research data suggest regarding the effectiveness of your product for men?

    • Georgina Butler on April 3, 2019 at 11:03 pm

I’d also like to know about the potential cost of this

Hello administrator, in May last year Jay Lee stated that no penetration agent was used in the finished trial.
Could you please ask him if the product once it is being released contains a penetration agent?
Or is it up to the user to enhance penetration such as very light dermarolling etc?

    Thank you
    Best Regards
    M

  11. Jay Lee on April 4, 2019 at 2:50 pm

Hi Helga. The price will be around the price of Minoxidil. That is all I can say at the moment.

    • Richieron on April 7, 2019 at 5:05 pm

Do we have a tentative release date?

  12. David on April 4, 2019 at 10:15 pm

Do they have before and afters?

  13. luis on April 7, 2019 at 3:52 pm

Hello Jay Lee, how about the side effects, you have to apply it once or twice a day. it works better with women than with men. If you had a hair transplant, does it strengthen your hair? sorry for my english

  14. Richieron on April 7, 2019 at 6:00 pm

Hi, product is called NGF-574H and it’s only available to Korean hospitals and clinics now as far as I know.

      • Mika on August 20, 2019 at 7:35 pm

Their trial ended end of July. Could you check with them on the result? Thanks

        https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/study/NCT03676400

        • Jay Lee on September 12, 2019 at 5:12 pm

Yes, the subject enrollment is over in July. The CRF is locked and the data is being unblinded for analysis. It usually take few month to come up with top line results.
