Trinov Launch Press Release + New Photos

Fidia Pharma held a press conference on November 29, 2018 announcing the arrival of Trinov hair growth lotion at pharmacies in Italy.

The press release was shared in the news section of Fidia’s website, only in the Italian version of the website. Upon first glance this was good news to read, however when I clicked on “Read the full press release” at the bottom of the page I saw some even better news.

Most of you will remember the top female photos from the Sitri Congress earlier this year, though they are in a bit higher quality this time. However, the bottom photos have not previously been officially released and are quite eye-opening. Both of these results came after 6 months application of Trinov. Thanks for the update! Curious by the effect in women since its basically an anti-DHT product. Other then menopausal women, can hair loss be triggered by DHT in non menopausal women? They took 30 women aged between 30 and 60, it would be interesting to see the average and median ages. Their PR says there are 5 million hair follicles on the scalp, when in fact there are 100-150k, for an important PR they should be more careful I think. But let’s hope this is a great product

  2. Sebastian on November 30, 2018 at 4:59 am

Do we know of any side-effects yet? 🙂
And couldn’t these results just be from the man having longer hair? Did they do a haircount in a selected area?

    • Jay on November 30, 2018 at 11:31 am

I agree. He just seems to have longer hair combed to conceal bald spots.

      • Follicle Thought on November 30, 2018 at 1:07 pm

I respect the opinion, however I would suggest that virtually all people with thinning hair will tell you that growing it longer does not make it look thicker.

  3. Andre Bax on November 30, 2018 at 8:17 am

Do you know if you will need a prescription to order this product?

    • Doug Goodwin on November 30, 2018 at 9:47 am

No you don’t need a prescription, can be ordered on efarma.com

  4. Terri Compaglia on November 30, 2018 at 9:29 am

Would love to know the process for ordering and any info on price?

  5. Vivek harsh on November 30, 2018 at 10:01 am

Now, it’s a wait and watch game for next 6 months..fingers crossed..

  6. Michael on November 30, 2018 at 1:37 pm

    I really needed this.

    Thank you.

    • Follicle Thought on November 30, 2018 at 10:31 pm

      You’re welcome

  7. Marc Payne on November 30, 2018 at 1:53 pm

How do u order Trinov using English communication?

  8. Piotr on November 30, 2018 at 4:29 pm

    Hi all,
I readed in Italian the full note relased by fidia pharma about trinov. I’m a little bit sceptic of the product be cause ther is not enghouf informaion relased, the only think that can you reed frome the official note is that the product promote maintain and regrought hair after 6 months in in 89.7% of volonterrs treated people in the test (this probably is the proof that trinov works but is not for the effectivnes). There is no information about the number of hair befor and after applaing the product! It seams to bee a little bit stange. Be cause the note says that the produc should be avaliable in evry pharmacy since december. Anyway I’am in Italy in this weeks so i will try the product. It will be grat if it’s relly works.

  9. Joe on December 1, 2018 at 6:22 am

I have been a long standing advocate for Follicle Thought. It really does provide hope for those who are either less informed or simply do not have the connections or time to investigate.

This is great news and has given buoyancy to an otherwise sinking ship.

I must say however, I am annoyed at the somewhat idiotic comments that follow regarding hair length and side effects.

Guys, take this as good news and be aware that not every bit of information has to be followed by negative rhetoric.

    Thanks FollicleThought – absolute hero!!

    • Follicle Thought on December 1, 2018 at 3:03 pm

Joe, thanks for the comment and the support. It’s very much appreciated and nice to hear.

I completely understand your sentiments, try not to let the comments get to you. 😉 Most of the time I don’t allow those similar type comments, because I’m looking for useful comments to add to the discussion. But, I do try to allow as much participation as I can.

  10. Jack on December 1, 2018 at 3:59 pm

I totally agree with the above comments. Follicle thought is definitely the most thoughtful and considered site of it’s kind ( definitely not combative and argumentative like some similar sites out there). It definitely helps us all become more informed regarding what is out there regarding developments and treatments. Trinov is definitely a very exciting prospect and may be just the solution for many of us trying to prevent further hair fall.
It’s important to be thoughtful regarding new updates but also not to be automatically skeptical or against everything. It does look so far like efarma have no purchase process available as yet?

    • Follicle Thought on December 1, 2018 at 5:05 pm

Thanks Jack! It’s great to hear the feedback and encouragement from you guys. I always try to advise people to make their own decisions concerning use of products, etc.

As far as efarma goes the FAQs on the Trinov page mention a way to pre-order, I imagine it’s going to be fully available immediately. There’s an email to contact.

  11. Paul on December 1, 2018 at 5:09 pm

Does anyone know if this is safe for a 17 year old to use? I want to try it out since i think it could be really effective in treating hair loss in a young person.

  12. Frank Einstein on December 1, 2018 at 9:14 pm

Paul, I think it is safe for you. One of the first people treated with this lotion was a little girl (about 12 years old) with alopecia universalis. However, I don’t know if it will work for you or anyone.

    • Follicle Thought on December 1, 2018 at 10:47 pm

      Excellent post, Frank. thanks

  13. Zach on December 1, 2018 at 10:53 pm

I will probably give this a try as i need something to replace minoxidil and stack with Dut. More excited for medipost to come out though, surprise people arent buzzing more about it as they have clinical data to back it up rather than just pictures as Trinov. Maybe both once a day will do the trick, as least till Replicel joins the party. Heres hoping! Thanks for the updates as always admin!

    • Paul on December 2, 2018 at 1:26 am

I think i read somewhere that Trinov can be used with other topical treatments like minoxidal so i dont think so you need to quit it .

      • Zach on December 2, 2018 at 4:18 pm

Minoxidil dedinitely gives me dark circles and wrinkles, every time i take a break and then try tomm get back ontl the sides are worse. Ive given up on it

      • Abdul on January 7, 2019 at 1:22 pm

Hi , I was womdering whether it is possible to use it and minoxidil together? Where can i find that information?

  14. Ry on December 2, 2018 at 12:27 pm

    Hi guys,

I think I will give it a try as soon as it comes out. My main reason for stopping reboost after 2 months was the fact that I had not seen even 1 set of positive pictures (only giving my humble opinion). Hence, to be consistent with this philosophy, although we can find a million ways to doubt the pictures displayed (not same light, hair moved to center…) it is more than fair to say that there are some concrete results that deserve a try.

My case is a bit complex. I’m a NW 7 but did a 5k graft 5 years ago. Hence I’m more of a fake diffuse state now and still losing some hair a bit everywhere.

If trinov can stop hairloss completely, it will already be a major step, because I can start strategizing for the future more effectively (I do not take minox bc of secondary effects and have approx 1500 grafts left).

My guess is that Replicel will be better than what we currently expect but less than what we used to expect in 2016. I still hope that the combo with medipost and trinov will bring about a complete stop and stabilizing. Then I could envisage either a wait for tsuji or using the last grafts for a maybe decent final result.

I do hope that Lee Buckler is able to provide us with an update soon. Not necessarily for a launch or data but just for clarification and being able to strategize best.

My guess is that NW 1 and 2 will have great ways of being saved (at least I hope for them) with everything coming out right now. The higher nw levels will need to fight for it, knowing that legolas haircuts will be tough to reach 😉

So thanks again to all contributing and remember that for people like me, good news like bad ones are always worth communicating because it still helps us make the right decisions at the right time in a battle against time.

    • Jonathan on December 3, 2018 at 9:11 am

After Trinov, the next treatment to reach market will be Histogen in 2020. It should surpass Fin/Min/Tri by far in results plus no side-effects, no need to apply every day a lotion.

  15. Follicle Thought on December 3, 2018 at 12:17 am

I appreciate all the positive comments and readership that you all provide. ?

  16. Jonathan on December 3, 2018 at 9:09 am

Hello, does anyone know if there’s a shedding too ? And does it have the same side-effect as minoxydil aka unwanted hair growth in the face or body ? Because as every topical product it will go systemic.

  17. Doug Goodwin on December 3, 2018 at 4:35 pm

I have to agree with you guys, follicle thought for me has been a godsend. It’s actually given me some hope, and the info shared with us is priceless.

  18. Kecin on December 3, 2018 at 6:55 pm

Are able to start order this product ? Is so how and where ? Their site was in Italian. Hope to hear back.

    • Follicle Thought on December 3, 2018 at 8:55 pm

Small bit of advice is that browsers are capable of translating, if you’re does not check for a plugin or try a different browser. Search around

  19. Muhammad on December 3, 2018 at 7:37 pm

How do I order this? I am from USA.
It doesn’t seem like its available for sale yet?

Do you guys think Doctor’s here can provide this for us?
    Omg…can’t wait.

  20. David Morris on December 5, 2018 at 1:53 pm

Has anyone went through the process of ordering this in the US? Looks like no page sends it here.

    • Doug Goodwin on December 5, 2018 at 8:20 pm

You have to go to efarma.com and just monitor when it becomes available, should be any day.

      • Follicle Thought on December 5, 2018 at 8:34 pm

Readers have also previously mentioning that they were able to pre-order, however they may have stopped the pre-order process already.

        • Doug Goodwin on December 5, 2018 at 8:52 pm

I tried to on efarma, and the only thing they said about preordering, was that they will inform me via email when it becomes available for purchase. That was in late October early November. I emailed again 2 days ago and again replied with when it becomes available we’ll inform you.

          • Follicle Thought on December 5, 2018 at 8:53 pm

Cool, thanks for your help Doug.

  21. Gg on December 6, 2018 at 8:41 pm

Trinov was initially designed to combat AA but since then the focus has been shifted to general balding. Is it still worth a try for people with AA?

    • Follicle Thought on December 6, 2018 at 9:40 pm

      Seems like it should be..

  22. Jack on December 7, 2018 at 4:56 pm

Hi everyone, I just had a comment to make in regards to Trinov. I have been trying to purchase since the start of December. I have messaged epharma several times-not to ask questions but to purchase. I have received no response, and there is still no process for purchasing through their site. Whilst I am extremely excited by th release of Trinov and hope to use it asap I think it’s a little unusual that for such a big breakthrough and with so many interested , that there is actually no way yet to purchase, and that all persons involved seem to have gone very quiet on the dispersal front as far as actually getting it out to customers.

Has anyone had any different experiences or actually purchased. Would also be interested in going in for an Australian group buy.

    Cheers

    • Follicle Thought on December 7, 2018 at 5:49 pm

Jack, hope you have some success and for the record I remember another online pharma selling Trinov in the original Trinov coming article comments.

    • Bart on December 18, 2018 at 3:33 am

Hi Jack, I presume you are also from Australia. So am I . Im having the same issues trying to get Trinov. Happy to have a chat with you if we can exchange details somehow.

  23. Marcus on December 9, 2018 at 10:59 am

Admin, firstly thx for providing a place that provides constant updates on hairloss cures and hope to all suffering from hairloss. Secondly, could u do a follow up on the Trinov situation as this post is a little outdated now and I am curious too about the lack of hype/news/reviews about this product. I want something else to put in my toolbox to fight off thinning as much as everyone else but I am sceptical and worried for the reasons just mentioned that this will have the same ending as Reboost and leave people who spent a grand or so on 6 months supply feeling disappointed and cheated. Thx again.

    • Follicle Thought on December 9, 2018 at 10:19 pm

Please make wise decisions when considering buying new products. An update will come in time, things take time.

  24. Kevin on December 9, 2018 at 8:37 pm

Has anybody been able to order this product living in the U.S. I can’t figure it out through their site. Can anybody help please

  25. Hope on December 10, 2018 at 10:37 pm

Trinov for females is available on efarma but due to limited quantities it is not possible to order more than one, which is not good seeing as shipping is costly outside of Italy. Trinov for men appears to unavailable at the moment on efarma.
Question: Are there any females on this site planning to use Trinov? If so have you ordered? It would be great to track our results month by month

    • Doug Goodwin on December 11, 2018 at 12:16 pm

I wonder what the difference is between the male and female versions?

      • Follicle Thought on December 11, 2018 at 4:29 pm

It is based on how much S-equol is in the products, the male version has more.

  26. stratosfera on December 12, 2018 at 2:18 pm

    I order for man,from Torino,pay only 70 euro

    • Kevin on December 12, 2018 at 8:41 pm

      How did u order it?

  27. Follicle Thought on December 13, 2018 at 1:44 pm

Yes, I believe shortly the ordering process for Trinov will likely clear up and become smoother for all international patients looking to purchase.

  28. Kevin on December 17, 2018 at 1:36 pm

First of all, thank you so much for your work 🙂

I have emailed you before when I was 17 asking questions regarding options. I am now 18 and was wondering if this can help restore temples? Thats my only concern. My hair is thin in somd areas and thicker in others – its a mess really, but Im only concerned about temples and a little bit about my actual hairline.

    Thank you so much!!

    • Follicle Thought on December 17, 2018 at 3:33 pm

Kevin, with the product just launched to consumers in Italy and those who purchase it online internationally, we will want to observe the results others are having with Trinov to see what it is capable of in general. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words!

  29. Bart on December 18, 2018 at 3:43 am

Does anyone know if I can order Trinov and get it posted to Australia? They keep replying to me on facebook that they will inform me when the product becomes available but then a week ago they told me on facebook the product will be available from 15th December. Seems impossible to communicate with them.

  30. Hanna on December 18, 2018 at 5:30 pm

Bart, I’ve used service https://www.parcl.com/ to forward the package from Italy to Canada. They ship internationally. Not cheap, but quick and the process was straight forward. You might want to check it out if you’re in a hurry.

    • Doug Goodwin on December 18, 2018 at 7:43 pm

So do you actually have it? What is it’s consistency. Someone was saying a spray but it does say lotion.

    • Bart on December 19, 2018 at 2:32 am

Thanks for the reply Hanna, I spoke to efarma last night as I rang them in Italy and was lucky enough to get an English speaking person. They told me they have sold out of Trinov until 6th Jan when they restock. How long have you been using the product for Hanna? Too early for results I imagine?

      • Swapna on January 7, 2019 at 7:26 pm

        Hi Bart,
Have you had a chance to buy? Please let me as I am from Australia and want to buy this lotion.

  31. Doug Goodwin on December 19, 2018 at 11:31 am

Just checked on efarma.com the mens is finally available

  32. Vicky on December 24, 2018 at 9:54 am

I am a female and I ordered the Trinov quite easily. My paypal was charged $121.76 US, which includes, the shipping on Dec.18th. The package is due today which is Dec.24th. Very quick shipping. I was only able to order 1 due to the limited quantities but that is fine. I will order again and give it a 6 month try.

    • Follicle Thought on December 24, 2018 at 4:17 pm

      Thanks for sharing Vicky!

    • Vicky on January 2, 2019 at 12:20 pm

I received my Trinov on Dec.24th as promised. It came with a dropper and a spray nozzle attachment along with a sample of Klorane which apparently you can use if your head becomes itchy and dry. I applied it after shampooing with wet hair and I found I couldn’t style my hair as normal, it was a little hard so now I dry my hair first and use the dropper in and rub in.

  33. Kevin on December 27, 2018 at 1:31 pm

Hi All – Trinov is available for purchase and shipment to the U.S. through Efarma now in the men’s version. You are only able to purchase 1 bottle per customer due to high demand and out the door after VAT is added it is $118.00 … that’s a significant fixed cost but perhaps worth it if it actually functions as a more effective minoxidil?

  34. Doug Goodwin on December 29, 2018 at 12:31 pm

Has anyone actually even received it yet? Was wondering the consistency, some were saying a lotion others saying a spray, which doesn’t make sense considering it’s called a lotion.

    • Vicky on January 2, 2019 at 12:24 pm

Doug, I have ordered it, received it within about a week and it is a liquid that comes with a dropper and a spray attachment. At least the woman’s version does.

  35. hugo villarreal on January 1, 2019 at 10:58 pm

how will i be able to purchase this from the US?

  36. Jack on January 5, 2019 at 5:16 pm

Hi, just for everyone in countries outside Italy. Efarma ship Trinov worldwide. They were great to deal with ( just use google translate with orders etc). Very trustworthy. Product arrived quickly-was just in the new year but postage always a bit slower then anyway-so I would guess it would usually take under a week to arrive from Italy worldwide. As Vicky mentioned above its a liquid. I ve been using for 5 days so impossible to tell the efficacy yet but according to the trials people starting seeing noticeable reduction in hair fall after 7 days so hopefully I’ll have something good to add to this post shortly. How are other people doing who have started Trinov-any noticable improvements/changes etc.

  37. Dimitris on January 6, 2019 at 5:56 pm

So, Trinov does regrow hair permanently or the new hairs stay put for as long as you put the lotion on your head (something like Regain lets say)? Can anyone answer me that please?

    • Doug Goodwin on January 6, 2019 at 6:33 pm

It’s a treatment not a cure, so if trinov grows hair you’d have to continue using the product in order to keep the hair that’s been grown or prevented from falling out.

  38. Nick on January 24, 2019 at 1:18 am

I’ve ordered some and received it in about a week in the US. Seems to be a very great company with follow up emails and clear shipping info from DHL. I’ve been using it for nearly a month and I think I see results, however I’m going to give it more time to be sure- obviously. Also someone had translated the instructions to either a dropper or 6 sprays. I can say 6 sprays and you run out quick. I haven’t made it the full month and am about out. Re ordering was just as easy on my iPad using Microsoft translate with Safari. The only issue I see at this point is cost if the product goes that fast. Also does anyone have info on if minox and or propecia can be used with it?? I’ve backed off both for now.

  39. jackaus on May 30, 2020 at 3:10 am

Hi everyone, hope you’ re all safe. Just wanted to ask if anyone had any Trinov Lotion they want to sell. I’ve been using since Jan 2019 and happy with it. Would be good if someone who tried it but doesn’t like it and wants to get rid of it could reach out. jasmacoz@yahoo.com.au
